Why we are building Thumio
A thumbnail decides whether a video gets a chance. Yet most creators either design in general-purpose tools that know nothing about YouTube, or rely on AI image generators that return flat pictures with garbled text. We think thumbnails deserve a dedicated tool: one that starts from 16:9, understands how feeds work and keeps every element editable.
Thumio starts with the fundamentals that matter most, readability, contrast and composition, and builds AI on top of them rather than instead of them.
How we work
- Honest status. Every feature is labelled as available now or in development. We do not describe roadmap items as finished.
- No invented numbers. No fake user counts, testimonials, ratings or click-through predictions anywhere on this site.
- Private by default. Our free tools process images in your browser. Nothing you add to them is uploaded.
- Editable output. Text and layout stay editable, today in the maker and later in the AI features.
- Accessible tools. Keyboard navigation, clear focus states and readable contrast are part of the product, not an afterthought.
Independence and naming
Thumio.app is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Thumio.com, Thum.io (a website screenshot service), YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC and is mentioned on this site only to describe what our tools are for.
